The Slow Clap Creative Connector Portal is a new digital resource and outsourcing service designed to connect local creators with future projects. We act as a conduit between people searching for campaign assets and the creative freelancers who make them.

If you’re a creative:

  • Sign up via the portal registration page.

  • Make sure you tap the ‘I’m A Creative!’ button and input all your details. Select the specialities that apply to you, a short pitch of your services, links to your online portfolio and your base rate. Then submit your application.

  • If accepted, you’ll have your own work dashboard, and we can invite you to quote on any client briefs we send you.

  • We will only ever send you work that matches your portfolio and budget. If that happens, you’ll receive an email notification that alerts you to the assignment, and you’ll be invited to quote, or decline, the job. We’ll then send your quote over to the client.

  • When quoting work, please keep in mind that Slow Clap will retain a 20% agency fee for any work secured – meaning we take $2 from every $10. We ask you to consider this when quoting for incoming jobs and add 20% to your quote to cover this.

  • If the client approves your quote, you will be connected via your personal dashboard, where you can communicate directly with the client and share work between you.

  • Clients will have the choice to accept your drafts or ask for edits. Typically, a client can request three revisions, although this could be more depending on the complexity of the project.

  • For safety, you will only commence a job once the client has paid for it. This money will be held by Slow Clap in full until the job is finished and signed off by the client. We will then release the funds to you and share final files back to the client.

If you’re looking for a creative:

  • Sign up via the portal registration page.

  • Make sure you tap the ‘I’m looking for a creative’ button and input all your details. You will be able to submit a job request once your application has been received and accepted.
  • If accepted, you’ll have the ability to submit a new job request. To do this, sign into your account, click ‘new project’ and select all the services you require. You can select multiple services.
  • Input all your project details, including your project’s name and a brief description of the work you are after.
  • Be sure to include links to any work that you think will suit the look and feel of your project – this will help us determine what kind of aesthetic you want for your campaign.
  • Then, you are required to set your budget. The base rate of the budget is determined by the different services you have selected.
  • Select your deadline – this will help us to ensure the freelancers we reach out to are available to work on your project. Be sure to add any additional project fees here, too.
  • Finally, include a list of the deliverables and assets you require, including tech specs and asset requirements.
  • We’ll then assign your brief to the appropriate creative and request a project quote from them. We will only ever assign work to creatives who match your portfolio and budget.
  • Once we collate all quotes for your project, we will send them back to you for approval. Once you have approved the quote, you will be required to pay the fee in full.

  • For safety, creatives will not commence any work until this payment has been received. This money will be held by Slow Clap in full until the job is finished and signed off by you.
  • Once the payment has been received, you will be connected to the freelancer via your personal dashboard, and they will send you drafts of their work. You have the choice to accept these drafts or ask for edits.
  • Typically, you can request three revisions, although this could be more depending on the complexity of the project.
  • Once the project has concluded, we will then release the funds to the freelancer(s) and share final files back to you.
